Jewellery making workshops
I run regular in-person jewellery making workshops in Bangor, Northern Ireland.
Monthly jewellery-making workshops for adults
It is a three-hour intensive experience, where we work on one project from start to finish.
You will make a truly personal piece of silver jewellery and learn some basic metalsmithing techniques along the way.
Every month we meet for a relaxed afternoon with a simple project, where you will be guided from start to finish in making a unique piece of silver jewellery, which you will wear with pride.
You will learn how to saw and shape silver, set stones or found objects, you will try simple soldering techniques and get some tips and tricks on how to finish the piece to a high standard. The workshop is intended for complete beginners, but if you already have experience in jewellery making, you will be able to advance your skills as well.
The maximum capacity is 5 people per workshop to ensure that everyone receives the support they need.
Young people under 18 years are welcome to attend in the company of a responsible adult for safety reasons. Manipulation with sharp tools, fire and chemicals is part of the process.
All tools and materials are provided. The price also includes the cost of silver and a jewellery box in which you will bring your creation home.
